No Symptoms as of yet

Had a SAH/BSO 2/20/04 and came thru very well, thank you. I am not on any HRT. I do take calcium supplements daily and work out at the gym, do both cardio and weights. I have not experienced night sweats or hot flashes as of yet. I don't sleep well but wouldn't call it insomnia and at times during the day, I feel "warm" but nothing significant. I am 44 and feeling pretty darn good. Am I just one of the lucky ones or will the walls come a tumblin down on me soon?

Hi Jewel,

Could be that you are just 'livin right! That's great news that you are doing so well at 2 months post op. Perhaps your hormone levels had already tapered off prior to your surgery. Or, you are simply one of those women with very mild menopausal symptoms.

I hope you continue to feel good with minimal menopausal symptoms. Keep us posted on how you continue to do, okay? Sending hugs your way.

I haven't taken any HRT and doing very well, I do have nightsweats and hot flashes but it seems they aren't as bad as some have talked about. I take a calcium supplement too and it seems the more active I am and the more I walk on my treadmill the better I feel and the less I notice the symtoms. I have also changed my diet to include soy milk and other more healthy choices. I have read that menopause can be controlled by diet and excercise. So maybe there's proof in the pudding.
