Gallbladder-All Test Show Normal,But Doctor Says It Must Go!

Sorry to keep bugging you, but I just wanted to let everyone know especially the Endo people that I had all of the following test for gallbladder troubles and all came back normal:

Blood Work-Alamyse (spelling)
Hida Scan

Dr. says I am a classic person for someone who has gallstones, but MANY OF US do not show abnormalties to the gallbladder.
Cramping Under the right rib cage-
Labor pains/Contractions
Pain on right side, above hip bone
Back Pain, some times it goes up my back
Light stools-yellow
Pain 1.5 to 2 hours after eating
Burping-I mean burping the entire alaphabet
Blood Pressure was 89/120-normally it is low,
but I was having a mild contraction

It is possible or not that I will show a problem once the doctor gets in there but for now I do not.

ENDO people: Dr. says that adhesions do not show up on any test so don't let your Dr. fool you into thinking they can do a test. Dr. says it takes a skilled doctor to be able to see adhesions during surgery. I was told by my primary Dr. that this surgeon is one of the best he has ever known, so I can only give the above info and go with it because it is all I have.

Anyway, because all my test show normal Dr. wants two more blood tests; CBC and something else and wants to do a CAT SCAN to check the liver. Says Cat Scan cannot see the gallbladder but wants to check to make sure liver is good, with no spots, before he operates. Just wants to take precaution.

I hope somewhere down the road my info will help someone. Should any new info come up I will let you know and if not I will post again after my surgery, no date yet, and let everyone know if the gallbladder was my problem.

As always, thanks for your support!

I had none of the signs of gall stones but had one the size of a golf ball!! It was found when they were looking for adhesions 5 months after surgery. It was removed the next day and went smothly. Good luck in your surgery.

Wow, I can't believe how many different symptoms gallbladder has. No wonder why it can sometimes be hard to detect.

Thanks for the good wishes!
