shaking in my shoes

I was told the other day by my doctor no other choice hysterectomy, shocked but knew it was coming.I have been having irregular bleeding since Aug of last year, i run bulldozers and other heavy eqiupment for a living and to top it off a daughter getting ready for a buisness school in July and a graduation party to plan by the 10 of july and my surgery day is the 26 of May.I found this web site and started to cry 1. i don't know how i am supposed to get back to work doing what i do,2 how on earth am i going to pull the rest of this off.I can't help it to be beside myself with this much worry , i don't think it took that long and that worrisome to heal from having kids please somebody tell me i am making a mountain out of a mole hill.

Sorry you are freaking out, but in reality it does take a while to recover. No driving for 2 weeks most doctors wont let you go back to work until 4-8 weeks, i had my hyster on 3/24 and doc is letting me go back to work monday (4 1/2 wks post op) but i am still on 5lb restriction until after he sees me again on 5/12. it is a long drawn out recovery but it is your health at stake....

I agree with the post above.

You sound like many mothers alway doing everything. It is time to ask for help and get friends and family (including your daughter) to help.
Try to get as organized as you can but don't expect you will get everything done just right.

I have a desk job and am worried about getting back to work so can only imagine how you feel. See if you get any type of benefits while off work. I get 100 a week which is not much for a person on their own but some people get way more !

Take care and we are here for you.
