Endometrial Cancer and MoeKay Make Front-Page News

What a great article!!!! It is so great how you have reached out to others to make a difference. This is what "the big picture" is all about.

Just last week I walked into a conversation of two gals that I work with. One of the gals who is my age 47 was dicussing her abnormal periods, and her concern over this odd pink watery discharge. I jumped into action, and this gal who has not been to a GYN in quite sometime will be seeing my doctor next week to evaluate this further.

Moe, again, bless you for reaching out and letting the world know the truth that this is not just a disease of post menopausal obese women.

MoeKay, what a wonderful article and thanks for being such a wonderful example.

I too say listen to your body, when something seems amiss. I started having clear discharges, and then last June started noticing blood with the discharge. I saw my gyn who ordered a pelvic ultrasound, but that was ok. The bleeding continued to get worse, and it was to a point that I was seeing blood every day. A D & C was done, and guess what was found. My DR was floored that the results were positive, he simply thought everything was hormonal. Within a week I was visiting a gyn/oncologist who did a TAH. The endometrial cancer was graded at 1A, so surgery was all I needed. Follow up pap smears of the vaginal cuff is a must, beginning every 3 months.

There does need to be more info about endo/ovarian/uterine cancer. The more we learn the more we can help someone else. Early detection is the best.

Keep up the good work.

Thanks, MoeKay, for the excellent article and the work that you do to get the word out about gyn cancers! It means so much to all of us! Your story is an inspiration to me. You went through so much and now you are healthy and well and making a tremendous difference. I hope you have many more cancer-free years! I've printed your article and will be sharing it with many people--including the staff at the school where I work.
