Funny animal story

I have 5 angora goats and 2 alpacas. Now that is not a large number, but my dh and dd decided to plot and attack the daily chores together today. I could hear them discussing who was going to do what in the kitchen. I got up to look out the back window to see how they were doing.

Well, you'd think I had a herd of 200 stampeding ruminants the way they were going about things! dd took in 2 pails of water and carried them up the hill. The alpacas are used to me feeding them first, so they stormed her as she carried up the water. She didn't know they were there and she shrieked as they ran by her! (She didn't go into their barn like they expected!)

dh went into the goat barn and all 5 of my goats went running after him. After all, he has the grain! I could hear pans being placed and dh trying to get them at their specific place. I started giggling and decided I should hide back in my bedroom.

It takes me an hour every day to feed and clean up. This includes talking to everyone and petting them, including the Great Pyrenees dogs. The two of them spent 45 minutes in there!

At least things are getting done and the animals are happy!

Nancy ,I enjoyed your story very much! Isn't it fun to watch someone try to care for our animals when they don't understand the routine!!I had a nice surprise today ....My special pygmy nanny had a baby {nanny also}and I had not even realized that she was anywhere time to deliver. She is special because I bottled fed and housed her in my utility room for three months. It took nearly a year to get her to live with the rest of the herd. This makes my herd a count of 20 head.I haven't got to spend much time with them since January, because different illnesses.I would dearly love to own some alpacas or llamas.I wish you a speedy recovery ! I am sure that your animals are missing you.

Oooh, you have Pyrs! I just lost my beloved big girl in late January at the ripe old age of 13 and 1/2 years. It sounds like your Pyrs are working dogs--mine just guarded my balcony, but she took it very seriously!
