Question What Next?

I posted this on the cancer concern but noone knew so I has hoping someone here could help
Well Friday I got home from work and waited for a phone call from the
doctors to let me know when the coloscopy will be. No call so I call
them. Turned out their computers were down and they couldn't set any
appointments. So I was forward to a voice mail for the person in
charge of those appointments and have to wait until monday for them
to call. AUGH!

I then called again to talk to a nurse this time. I wanted to know
what is going to happen next since I already had a hysterectomy but
kept my ovaries and the cells are back. The nurse couldn't tell me.
She told me it depends on what the doctor decides to do. She told me
there could be several different things. She wouldn't tell me what
they were. I thought maybe she could at least tell me that. I have
tried to research it on the web but all I find is what happens the
first time they find CIN3. I had the leep with a top hat. The cells
were still way out of the margins. I had a month before it would have
been cancer.

This time it is CIN1. Does anyone know since I dont have a cervix or
uterus what is the next step? When I lived in Iowa I was seeing a
general doctor I asked him this question he told me radiation
treatments. I have moved and seeing a gyn now and not getting any
answers. I want to be prepared with questions and all. Last time
things went so fast I was clueless what was happening.
Thank you for any help

Question What Next?

Linda:

In your shoes I would ask for a referral to a gyn/oncologist. As much as I trust my gyn, I would not feel comfortable asking him to treat me in such a specialized case and I am sure he would want me to get the best care possible.

I think the nurse you spoke with probably is not aware of the possilbe treatments or she would have been able to answer your question. "Depends" is a really lazy answer. Since she does not seem to know or is unwilling to answer you to your satisfaction, it is PERFECTLY reasonable for you to ask your Doc to personally call you back.
