Granulosa cell tumors

I had a hysterectomy last March and at that time was diagnosed with granulosa cell tumor. They think they got it all and so far it hasn't come back. They told me that if it comes back it usually takes 15-20 years but I have talked to several people who have had it reoccur much sooner and it keeps reoccurring. Is there any one out there that hasn't had it reoccur? Would also like to hear from those who have had it reoccur. Thanks!

Granulosa cell tumors

Hi, goldenlabs, I was wondering whether someone would come by with experience. Granulosa isn't something that I've heard about before. I've been poking around the web a little, but they really don't say anything that you already know. All the heavy duty medical places I've looked say the same thing. The chance of recurrence is low and if it does it develops very slowly so it's very treatable. Yet, you've encountered people who are the exceptions. That doesn't mean you are, but I sure understand the worry. I've been assured that I'm fine now, but it's hard to move on. I hope someone comes by who can reassure you.

And do you have golden labs? They are so wonderful.

I haven't been able to post in a LONG time, but I was diagnosed with Granulosa Theca Cell tumor back in 1999 and just had a recurrence this year. Just started radiation ... today actually. Had chemo the first time around.
