Excellent Forum and Information

This is my very first posting, although I have read several of your stories and lots of information, I would like to share my story:

I had surgery vag-hyst on 12/15/03 and began having considerable pain shortly thereafter. Pain with walking, like a pulling sensation in my abdom. and LOTS of pain with intercourse. I checked out one of the forums on this site and found information on adhesions (yeah!), very informative.

I checked with my doctor and reported ALL my symptoms. After a check up we scheduled surgery. Surgery was on 4/30/04. Dr found substantial adhesions, even got pictures of same...pretty icky. Anyway, here I am, 6 days after surgery and tummy is really sore, but found that ice packs really make a difference.

I would like to thank all of you who have shared your info on this site, otherwise I would not have even known about adhesions. So far, I feel better, sore from the surgery but no more "pulling" sensation...I won't know about the intimacy for a weeks, but am hopeful! And hopefully no more surgeries!

Thanks again to everyone for sharing, information is only good if we can share it.

Excellent Forum and Information

Thanks for that uplifting post!!! Its nice to know that something positive comes from our experiences and that we are helping others to heal.

I had adhesions removed in January and yes, they are icky. Looked like a spider had run amok. Who let the spider in there anyway?

Best wishes on a speedy recovery. And, a great big for you for sharing!!!
