Happy Girl!!!! Today I saw my Dr. and he did a vaginal and said all looked very well and I could start living my daily life agian, I am 4 weeks and 1 day TAH. He even said I could have sex!!!!!! That frightens me a little, but I'll take little baby steps. Now what ....... Is that all there is to it, go back and see him in 6 months? It all has seemed so easy for me. Tell me to do next. Thanks sisters

if you are hesitent you could hold out on sex for another fortnight ? it cant hurt . Mostly your body wil tell you what it can and cant do .. dont overdo it even now .. I did and regretted it but I had little choice because I was alone with two young kids and Dh at work all day

I would not do sex until you feel ready. It helps to use a lubricant and just relax and enjoy each other . I was not ready till almost 12 weeks, I was a slow healer.

Everything you do after you get the okay from the dr should be gradually approached, like exercise, moving, lifting and pushing heavy things. You still need to rest and not overdo. If you overdo you will get signs of fatigue and soreness.

It takes about 6 months to a year to heal completely so take your time.

I hope you continue to have a good recovery.

Good for you! Like you, it was easy for me too. I'm so thankful. If the doctor gives you the "go ahead" and you feel like it . . . then get going! I had a TAH (kept ovaries) and though we took it slowly at first, it was absolutely no different. Like everyone says, you have to listen to your own body.

Glad things are going great for you!
