cancer concerns

Had a total heserectomy April 14. My CA 125 leval very high at time of surgery. Had 2 doctors in surgery with cancer doctor on side. Found entimetris (spelling), which I never knew I had and found cancer cells on 1 ovary, thus after doing exploratary surgery and biosipying, the total hesterectomy was done. I am 44 years old. My outcome is from the path report--no chemo or radiation, was in stage 1 and will be doing heavy blood work to check for the ncxt few years. I feel fortune and lucky, mine was caught early. I am now dealing with the recovery and the ups and downs of homones and am on the patch. Went to doctor today and had a check up which was good. The depression up and downs will relieve itself as I recover.

That's terrific news! To have caught it so early. There are a lot of complicated emotions that come with this, not to mention the moods from the anesthesia and the hormones bouncing around. It takes awhile but you do recover your emotional balance too. I'm really feeling good 9 months after surgery, and I'm sure you will too.
