Memory is going...????

Hi everyone,

I am almost a year out from my hysterectomy - done because of severe bleeding and endo. I have been in pain since then, the doc thinks from either adhesions (which were holding all my organs together when they did the hyster) or a return of the endo. I switched to .3mg of Menest (sp?) a day and that has helped some with the pain. I am still very easily fatigued.

However, I seem to be losing my short term memory. I seem to be always forgetting things ... things that are pretty obvious. Even when I write things down I sometimes forget them! I am feeling pretty thick headed.

Has anyone else experienced this and how did you deal with it? Does it get any better?

Thanks for everything...

Memory is going...????

Hi (((Suzanne)))) I'm so sorry you've been having so many problems since your hyst

While I'm not an expert in the area of surgical menopause (kept both my ovaries, and they're still working) the problems with your memory could be a sign of hormonal unbalance, especially with the downward adjustment of your HRT. Please, do contact your doctor and mention this problem: hopefully, he/she will be able to suggest something that will not make the pain worse but will help with the memory loss.

Sending lots of s your way. Please keep us posted.
