Finally the Surgeon will see me tomorrow

After being to the ER twice since my surgery was cancelled on 4/29 and was pretty much told don't call me I will call you, I get to see the surgeon tomorrow.
I am in so much pain that all I do is lay in bed and cry. I can't work or do anything for that matter. It has gotten so bad that I feel like I am dieing (sp?). My eyesight keeps getting worse and I have never been this scared.
My dr. left a message on my answering machine telling me that we need to go over my chart notes. I just know she is going to tell me that they can not do the surgery.
My boss is trying to get me to quit ( she is being very mean) and my insurance won't pay for my pain pills any longer because I went over the alloted amount of 45 pain pills in a 3 month period.
If it is not one thing it is another.
Please pray for me tomorrow, that all will go well.
I am only human and I am starting to question GOD. I know that is bad and I hate myself for doing it. They say that he only gives you what you can handle. I don't know.
I am fine if I am on the pain pills because it takes the edge off of the pain. However if I am not on them because of work or something I start to get to the point that I want to die. How horrible is that. I almost had my fiance take me to the hospital to put me in the mental ward.
I just pray that my prayers will be answered.
Sorry that I went on and on. This is my only outlet. I don't want to scare my fiance anymore than he already is.
Thanks
Nikki

Oh, I am so sorry this is happening to you. Sometimes it does seem like when it rains it pours. It is tough having the pain and no medicine and the insurance not covering it.

I don't want you to die and I will for you and that all will get better. Will your insurance cover any other meds? You may benefit from something from the dr that may help you stay calm through this. I hope the dr can help with pain meds and how you are feeling so down.

Please let us know how your visit goes with the dr.

Nikki Please hang on . Right now with things going so badly for you you need to take it one day at a time .. easier said than done but you have to .Cry if you have to it relieves the tension alot . If the hospital cancels the surgery again maybe you shouold make it known to the Dr that you are not prepared to bear up with this pain any longer .

Thankfully my Dr listened . he did the surgery the next day bless his soul

Thank you. You have no idea how much it means to me to hear your replys.
I am paying for the pain meds and that is okay. I hope that she can help me tomorrow.
I am on State Insurance right now because my work insurance has not kicked in yet.
I am new to California too. If I was back home in Washington I would have several different options. Just feeling like my hands are tied.
I work in the medical field and I make sure that I take care of my patients concerns and needs. I make sure they have all the information that they need and deserve.
I just want the same in return and I guess it just is not as common as it should be.
Again thank you for replying it makes all this a lot less painful emotionally.
God Bless

Nikki-

First of all, a big and to you!!! I will definitely be praying for you tomorrow. Please post about how it goes. I can't imagine how frustrating that must be to have your surgery postponed :burning:. I hope your doctor hears you and responds in a caring way. You certainly deserve that!!

Take Care as best you can-

Firstly a big hug

You poor thing, it must be awful not seeing a light at the end of the tunnel.

What doesnt help is the downward spiral, you have pain you get depressed and the pain gets worse. Been there and done that.

I know it sounds silly and I have no idea how much pain you have at the moment but it can all seem a bit better when you have a positive attitude. I was certainly down and fed up before my doc gave me my prostat and after that because it felt like something was happening at last a veil was lifted and then things dont seem as bad.

I hope it makes sense, but we are with you and do let us know what your doctor says.

Take care

Sweetie....I sooooo understand the torment of constant pain. It's both physically and emotionally exhausting.

I will be sending good thoughts your way...and I hope you are able to get some relief soon.
