Red stretch marks

I had an infection (start of cellulitis) 3 days after surgery - am now 2 weeks postop. Have been on dicloxacillin almost 1 week. Everyone said the redness from my incision line up is almost non-existent now.

But, the stretch marks in my stomach, which were there preop, seem mildly reddened, so it looks like a series of pinkish lightning bolts up to my navel. All very light. Is this part of healing? The gyn said it could just be the fat healing. My temp is around 99, worst has been 99.4

Hi Sharon,

Your doctor may be right - possibly the tissue just needs more time to heal. You are still early in the recovery process. If it continues though you should mention it to the doctor again.
