Ovarian cancer article on tonights local news!

Hi Ladies,
I just wanted to let you know that our local news had a health report on tonight. It was about ovarian cancer and its symptoms!
How they can be subtle, but there and listed them.

I was so impressed that this was being talked about and bringing these female issues into the forefront.

The lady that was being interviewed was even quilting. This is what she used to help get her thru. She has been cancer free for 4 years, they said.

But I was excited about what she was quilting. A TEAL RIBBON QUILT!

I remember one sister here who posted a website that said the teal ribbon was for ovarian cancer. I even bookmarked the website.

I don't know why, but I just wanted to let you all know. Any news that gets these issues out is a step in the right direction.

All Right!

Thanks for telling us that the word IS getting out and I bet the teal ribbon quilt is beautiful! I'm not at all artistic, so I had "Spike" take care of my teal ribbon--a double tattoo on the left arm with OVCA in scroll--and it gets noticed. Every bit of Ovarian awareness is helpful!

Margaret,
Wow! A tattoo! I love them! How cool! I had told my DH that if my second D&C would have come back ok, I would have a butterfly tattooed on me somewhere...but it didn't...so I wait.

Maybe after the TAH sometime and after clear path reports and much healing, after that...maybe.
