sore belly

HI I am four weeks post op now and I was doing so good, no pain at all. Now all of a sudden my left side is just so sore just like a big bruise and my verticle incision is just so puffy and sore. I am becoming nervous and anxious over this. I am tired from not sleeping. I am afraid I may have over done it. I hope I am not getting adhesions please no! that's what cause a big part of my hyst to begin with. I will call the doc today I just wanted some input from the sisters.

Thanks Eieen

Probably the best way to ease your mind is to call your doc and see what s/he says. You could be hitting the three week wall a week late--that is, the internal stitches are dissolving and so you feel worse. As I did a lot more (week 6) my incision hurt a lot too. But the big thing is to listen to your body. If it hurts, rest.

You might post this on the Post-Op board too. You might find someone there with the exact same thing, which would be reassuring too.
