Sisters What Do You Think? Please!

Had my 3mo, exam today. Everything is healing , fine. I still have a small amount of leaking , once in awhile. Maybe a day or two then nothing for a week. When I step harder, laugh unexpectedly, bend. this is not at all , all the time. doc, wanted to schedule a procedure to sling the urethra. I want to try the exercises, first . he said they seldom would do any good, for this problem. I don't want another procedure, even if it is not very invasive.
What do you think or know?
Help is really appreciated, thanks to all of you.

I would see a Uro-Gynecologist and see what she has to say. (Or "he", but my personal preference is for a woman).

I'm not sure that the exercises would help. They're more to strengthen the pelvic floor, not stop leaking.

Did you have repairs w/your hys? I had a cystocele, so I had it taken care of when I had my surgery. That's why I had a uro-gyn do the surgery. I wanted someone who does this type of surgery all the time and everything's going along fine.

Good luck to you. Let us know how you're doing.

i had a Monarc Subfascial Hammock (urethral sling) placed 8 weeks ago..its not a very invasive procedure and involved very little discomfort...the results are immediate...i agree that Kegals are probably not going to strengthen the muscles enough to stop the leaking....however it wont hurt to try them and see what happens.......stay well......diana
