I have looked at a lot of the sites that you posted. Not for hyst Cancer. I just found out yesterday that I did have thyroid Cancer. I am an active participant in Hystersisters due to my hyst 9/17 but I now understand the cancer fears!

A great new resource book!!!!!

There is a wonderful new book out:

Ovarian Cancer Your Guide to Taking Control
by Kristine Conner and Lauren Langford

I would highly recoomend it to any woman who is newly diagnosed with or suspected of having ovarian cancer.
It is the most information I have ever found in one resource book.
If your book store does not have it, amazon.com can deliver it very quickly.

A Suggested Site

The site www.cancerbacup.org.uk was developed by a doctor, Dr. Vicky Clement-Jones, diagnosed with ovarian cancer. She was a remarkable, brave woman.

More words

These words weren't in my pathology report but they were in the surgical one and I thought they would be of interest and informative also.

TERM DEFINITION
Lysis Process of disintegration
Serosa Delicate membranes
Loculated Divided into compartments
Hemostasis Arrest in Bleeding
Cul-de-sac ?????

I can't find a definition of cul-de-sac, it was used in my report like this:
Skeletonization took place, but was limited by the obliteration of the cul-de-sac. Essentially this was the rectum adhered to the posterior mid-aspect of the uterus.

I also am not sure was skeletonized means. It was used numerous times in my report, referring to ligaments and the ureter be skeletonized. I am thinking it means released from, or being pulled away from other tissues.
Thanks, Justine

sarcoma

I have leiomyosarcoma, and here are two sites for that: www.leiomyosarcoma.info/ and www.leiomyosarcoma.net
For others who have LMS or other sarcomas, there's www.sarcomaalliance.org/splash.html
Sorry if I'm duplicating, but ... I love cancer.gov Also, if you call the National Cancer Institute, they will research any topic and send you the information for free.
There's Cancer.Source.com
www.health.harvard.edu/fhg/diagnostics.shtml has information on diagnosing cancers.
The On-line Medical Dictionary is www.cancerweb.ncl.ac.uk/omd/
The Rare Cancer Alliance is www.rare-cancer.org
Some cancer centers have very educational Web sites. I'm most familiar with mdanderson.org
The Women's Cancer Network is www.wcn.org/
A cancer search engine is at CancerLynx -- We Prowl the Net for You. www.cancerlynx.com/index.html

The Young and the Breastless is a networking event, born from a support group for young women with breast cancer that was put together by a British Columbia (Canada) Social worker. This network, aimed at women under 50 who are facing Breast Cancer, addresses the issues that older women do not have, such as fertility; early, and sudden, onset of menopause; childcare; dating, etc. etc.
