Very Odd -- Shaving less??

I'm 5 weeks post today and over the last few weeks have noticed a DRASTIC decline in the need to shave as often (not complaining) but it's just plain odd and not like me at all...like the bikini area, before surgery I could shave daily to keep stubble tidy, but now it takes about 10 days for what used to regrow in just a couple of days, and my nails are growing much slower, too...anyone else experience this or know what may cause the drastic change?
Thank you!

Very Odd -- Shaving less??

Hi,

If you had your ovaries removed, the decrease in estrogen can cause hair to grow less and to be finer when it does grow in. This may be what's causing you to not need to shave as much.

Very Odd -- Shaving less??

I noticed a huge difference after my LOR and the right ovary apparently didn't work. That was a surprise! I went on HRT but the hair on my legs grows in real slow and real soft. I never get that old familiar stubble. Under my arms - I used to shave every few days - now it's every 2 weeks or so. I also have periods of the hair on my head falling out. You can't tell it to look at it, but I sure notice it in the drain. It has really been one side effect that I can't complain about.

Wow! So it's hormone related! (I don't know if that's good or not, lol...???) I was thinking that it might have been from being put under or the drugs or something like that. The regrowth all over IS so much softer/finer, and I thought I noticed more hair than usual in the shower.

Thank you both so much!
