good news!!.. but annoyed at GYN

I saw the GYN/ONC today and he said he was pretty sure my Pap results were skewed due to it being done 11 days AFTER MY D&C!!
So that is great news on the cancer worry. He said you never do one right after surgery and expect normal cells.

And when my GYN consulted him, she NEVER mentioned the Pap was done right after my D and C and she NEVER included it in the records she faxed to him, she totally left the entire D and C records out of the file!! Can you imagine?? Even the pathologist had added a notation about the findings... and he didn't know about the Pap either.

Seems like if she had told either one of those DRS I might not have been so worried, she made it sound very serious, which it would have been IF there was not the D&C to explain the resukts.

I know she is a good DR, she even did a hyster on the GYN/ONC's wife, but she really dropped the ball, more than once even!!

So now I just will go back and have another Pap in a month or so and I expect it to be OK. I still might opt for the hyster for OTHER reasons

Thanks Ladies, now I don't feel pressured into doing this right away.

good news!!.. but annoyed at GYN

s Trudy

I guess we are better off when we gather all of our own info to take to a consultation. That way we can see ahead of time if all the procedures and testing we have done are included.
I'm glad everything is going so well for you!!

Good News!

I love good news--but then your story.. It reminds all of us how WE need to be in charge of our health and reporting from one Dr. to another. It's a shame but true. I am now almost paranoid in some ways, although I call it being extra cautious. Yesterday before I got blood (red cells) I had to remind the nurse to give me the Benadryl and Tyleno.

I'm happy--GOOD NEWS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
