selfish?
Hi everyone, just wanted your opinions. I am having surgery on the 7th and my DH is going on a motorcycle ride on the 4th and wont return til the 6th, ok so I told him to go ahead and go. On one hand i want him to stay home with me that weekend but on the other hand i dont want him to cancel(planning it for a couple months). My boys have their last baseball games and end of the season parties I will have to go to so I will be busy , oh yeah and my parents will be coming that Friday to stay with me. Well as you can see Im a little confused on how to feel, just nerves I guess! well your thoughts would be appreciated!!Oh and p.s. my DH is taking the 7th and 8th off work to be with me! Michelle

selfish?
My boyfriend has just recently been invited on a motorcycle ride with a friend of his that belongs to a "club". They don't know the date yet. He told them he would not go if I needed him there.
If it were before my surgery I would not mind at all as long as he is there for the big day. I think I am going to be nervous those few days before and I don't want to take it out on him.

Hi Shelle----I can understand your confusion, but it sounds as though you will have support from your parents, plus you'll be busy w/the boys games. DH doesn't mind missing those??? But, he'll be back the day before your surgery and with you right after. I'd say if it were me, I'd be okay w/it.

I am a 6/7 sister too! I can completely understand all of your feelings. I just found out yesterday that surgery was a definate yes. Things are going really fast for me. I have known for a while that I needed a hysterectomy. My hubby has been working 15 hour days to make up for my lost wages so I dont see much of him. When he gets a day off he usually spend it out shooting his gun and blowing off steam. I had my feelings hurt at first but I realize he needs to have some free time. He is working soooo hard to pay the bills and provide for us. He has also been taking the kids out so I can have time to myself. Like your hubby mine is taking off the 7th and 8th to be with me. Our hospital is 70 miles away so it will be nice to have someone with me. Good luck to you!!!~

My surgery is 7th June too!
Its creeping here very quickly. I have to be in the hospital for 1pm with surgery between 6 and 9pm in the evening. After DH has dropped me off I dont think I will see him until the next day as he has our munchkin the business and the pets to look after. In a way I want him there but I also want to be alone!
Funny how the emotions keep changing at the minute. I am told this waiting period is the worst bit!
The grey clouds keep changing to fluffy white ones and back, mood swings I think - help!
