Endometriosis after TAH/BSO

Hi there Ushameister,
You and I have much the same issues facing us - it's the pits isn't it.

What sort of syptoms are you having? I have a cyst but I only get cyclical pains with some rectal bleeding. I'm faced with the medical/surgical choice and Doc doesn't want to go down the surgery path to remove my remaining ovary although the surgery wouldn't be as difficult as you are facing.

I have decided to live with it for the time being - I can put up with the symptoms at this stage. In fact this just blew up because I went back to the doc because of some granulation and I mentioned a few things that were going on. Realistically I wouldn't have bothered going back for these symptoms alone so that proves that I can grin & bear it!! I'm off to see the doc again after a colonoscopy on May 2 so I'll see what he says about the 'wait & see' approach.

Please let me know how you are getting on.

Diana

Regards the cyst

Hi there,

I was told that my body is producing estrogen so the doc has decided not to put me on Lupron. HE says they are fibroids.. is this possible? also, he wants me to stop all HRT forever.. To-date i have not had any major menopausal symptoms. H wants me to have another U/S in 2 mths to see how big the cysts are.. he says without hrt they shd shrink. HE also said that he wld do a biopsy ( cervical) to make sure it is not malignant. SO that is wher i am. I am in a bit of discomfort when i eat.. that is all i have now.
IF i hear anything new will post here. thanks for all your input.

Diane, hope u are feeling better.
Hugs to u all
