Breast pain

I went to the doctor three weeks ago for pelvic pain which led to the fiding of another ovarian cyst. Which led to the decision to have the LAVH. However, while I was there the doctor decided it was time for my annual and found a massin my breast. My breast did hurt but I was use to this having a history of fibrocystic disease, which is benign cysts that develop in the breast certain times of the month and can make the breasts sore. The doctor seemed concerned about this one area so she sent me for a mammogram. Id ahd one of these before but in this case they kept taking xray after xray saying they needed more and more. then decided to do an ultrasound of the one breast that day also. The results were that they found a "mass that appeared to be something of concern but not enough to do surgery, more of a, lets keep an eye on this". Now here it is three full weeks later and Ive got the hysterectomy on 06/08 and this left breast still hurts horribly. I think Im going to call the doctor in the morning andsee if I should be concerned. Anyone else have this tremendous breast pain that lasts over three weeks? I suspect that the 8 cm cyst on the one and only ovary I have left is throwing me out of whack hormonally but IM not sure if I should have THIS MUCH breast pain for so long. Any thoughts??? Thanks!

Breast pain

I think that calling your dr and telling her about how much pain you're having is a good idea.

I have fibrocystic breasts also and had biospies on both years ago. I do have some fairly minor pain from time to time but nothing like what you're describing. Please call your dr soon, it's better to be cautious

Breast pain

The breast specialist doctor says I have to have the lump biopsied and soon. They have coordinated my breast biopsy to be done the same time as the LAVH,BSO next Tuesday, 06/08/04. So I will have all my torture the same day. I am SO looking forward to getting this all overwith!
