Waxing

Hi Ladies,
I was wondering is it ok, if you wax your bikini line prior to surgery or is that a no no also?

Waxing

Hi,
Don't bother shaving - they shave more off than what's on your bikini line. I was already "out" when they did me. Probably the less irritants you put on your skin the better.

Waxing

Hi -- I asked this question of my doctor and was told to go ahead and wax but not too far ahead...preferably the day before. That is exactly what I did. I felt more comfortable doing it myself than having them do it when under the anesthesia. I had the technician do a "mohawk" and it was still that way when I woke up so I guess it was close enough for the doc. Just to be sure, I'd ask the doc if he intends to "shave it all off" and then you can decide if you want to do it yourself or it let them do it.

Waxing

Ask your DR before you do anything. Different DR's have different policies, preferences and procedures. Some ladies have had surgery canceled due to shaving themselves. I'm not sure about waxing, but when in doubt . . . . . . it's better to be safe rather than sorry.

waxing

I usually have a brazlian wax done. I had my TAH on May 12, I had my waxing redone the day before. I called the castle and asked them just to be sure. The only down side is that you will have to wait until your really healed to have it redone again.

Hope this helps.
