Funny pet story

I'm 3 weeks post-op today. We have a little bichon frise named Sammy. He's been a great companion during my post-op recovery .. he sleeps a lot but just having a warm (furry) body around helps.
He and I sleep on the couch, that faces our picture window, which faces our backyard. It's a very serene setting and a very nice backyard .. full of trees and green grass and, unfortunately for Sammy, lots of squirrels and rabbits which drive him insane. So, he barks a lot.
This morning I'm laying on the couch reading. Sammy is on a cushion, sound asleep. Pretty soon I see a squirrel .. Sammy goes on snoozing. Then a rabbit .. zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz. THEN a strange man walked by, probably a meter reader. Sammy didn't move a muscle. Dead to the world.
However about 5 minutes later I was feeling a little gassy, still an after-effect from the surgery, and since I was all alone I let one rip.
BOOM! Sammy was up like he'd heard a gunshot. He ran out of the room and hid under the bed.
Sometimes you just gotta laugh!

LOL! That's a good one! Have you seen the little movie on the internet, the one where the girl is going on a blind date, and he opens the car door for her, she gets in, and she takes advantage of the moment where he's walking around the car to let a big one one loose, only to find, to her horror, that it's a double date and the other couple was in the back seat the whole time...?

Hey--I wouldn't have guessed we could say bichon frisse in here...

Oops .. AND I called him by name.
Must be the fuzzy brain.
(or the gas, who knows!)
