Lymph nodes?

I have a lymph node that swells sometimes. It is swollen now. Right in the junction of my left leg. It hurts really bad and stays swollen for days at a time. I only swells during my period and then it only does it sometimes. I don't know if I should be concerned about the cancer being in the nodes or not...........

Lymph nodes?

Hi Taylea,

Many things other than cancer can cause lymph nodes to swell, and I believe when cancer is in the nodes it usually is not painful.
You said in an earlier post that Dr. think yoiur cells are just beginning to turn cancerous so it is very unlikely that it could have spread to the lymph nodes. I know how hard it is to not worry once the word cancer becomes part of our lives. It used to be I never noticed a problem with my body until something bled or broke and now every little thing gets the cancer head going.
Try to relax and take each day as it comes.

It's hard not to look over our shoulders after we hear the word "cancer"....but try not to let it get to you (easier said than done I know).

Definitely sounds like you should get in touch with your doctor. I don't know any of your history, what you had done, what you have, etc.... but I would recommend that you pursue your concerns and have them addressed properly by a medical professional.

My cancer spread to my lymph nodes while in stage 1 -- was told that this only happens 3% of the time...so odds are that you are fine. Please talk to your doctor.....

Lymph nodes?

Connie gave you good advice. It something bothers you, have your doctor check it out. It is probably benign, but you'll feel better hearing this from a doctor.
