26 hours until I go to the Castle

I'm sitting here trying so hard to gag down the magnesium citrate. Wow - I've had to do this a bunch of times before but this has been the hardest. I'm not even 1/2 way through the bottle. I'm thinking I'll throw up violently before it's all over.

It's been such a busy day. I've been cleaning. Now the a/c is leaking - what timing. My carpet is quite wet and I'm freaking. Money is tight and we cannot afford some huge problem. I know I can't change it so will have to deal with whatever when they come take a look at it tomorrow or Wednesday.

Kids have been pretty loud and rambunctuous. My nerves are fairly raw and I'm trying hard to keep from yelling or crying. To top it all off, my 8-year-old has the last regular season baseball game tonight. I have never missed a game and I'm not about to start now. I'm praying that the magnesium citrate holds off working until after that. The game is at 7:00 - I'll come back on later tonight to report.

I'm a little nervous. I'm not sure what I'm feeling. Last night was so emotional. My MIL was supposed to be here but she's not. She so very unreliable that it's making me nervous.

Can you tell my brain is going a thousand miles a minute? Last week on Monday, I was truly mourning the end of my childbearing capability. I'm concerned I'll freak in the AM about that, too. It's soooooo, sooooooo final. There's no going back after.

Well, I should get off the computer and finish folding laundry. My house is pretty well organized compared to the usual chaos. One bright spot is that my wonderful woman minister is coming to the hospital in the morning. I am very happy to have her support.

Calm down!:>) Tomorrow comes no matter what and you will face the day as a conqueror! It's all we can do! I had my hyst 5 weeks ago and I had an hour drive to the hospital. I kept thinking on the way, things will never look the same, what if... well 5 weeks later I am over the hump and looking forward to my life again! The hyst is an experience to travel through and one you won't forget, but the rest of your life is ahead of you, waiting for you! I know it's hard. Sometimes I felt like a robot going through a routine and suddenly it's over.

I hope things go smooth for you, with no complications! I look forward to your "I'm home!" post!

26 hours until I go to the Castle

Hi Kate,
I'm having my surgery tomorrow also. We've been cleaning house all day, so I won't feel overwhelmed when I get out of the hospital. I also feel really nervous - questioning my decisions, trying to complete last minute tasks, washing clothes, packing a bag, etc., etc.!! And the magnesium citrate? Yuk! Had to drink it this morning. My doc has had me on a clear liquid diet since Saturday dinner time. But I guess because I'm so nervous I really haven't been that hungry.

Hope all goes well with your surgery!! Maybe we should compare note when we get out Thurs or Fri!

to you Kate.

So many of us can relate to that last 24 hour nutzo feeling as you're trying to make sure everything is done and trying to keep the last minute jitters from taking over you.

I'll bet I used my relaxation cd 4 times that Sunday before my surgery on Monday, trying to get calm. Know that you have friends here to support and understand how you're feeling today. And we'll be watching for your first post when you return to let us know that you're home.

Take care, Kate.

26 hours until I go to the Castle

Hello. I totally understand. I also have to be at the castle at 6:30 tomorrow morning. Today has been spent cleaning, mowing, laundry, cooking, etc.
I have also had some moments of panic today.
I pray that everything goes well for all of us. God Bless.

I haven't even had a chance to look for my suitcase lol. MIL is still MIA. I'm feeling sleepy really.

Tonight after I get home, my focus will be on drinking water, water, water up until midnight. It's so horrible trying to get an IV when you're dehydrated. BTDT.

I'm really glad you guys are here. I'm feeling more uptight than before.
