when it rains it pours!

I am a soon-to-be princess -- tomorrow morning 8 AM EST! I thought I had everything planned and set for my family, my help, etc. But in the last three days everything that can go wrong has! 1) My housecleaner called me on Monday night to say that she would be unable to clean the house for the next 3 -4 weeks (mind you, my normal cleaning day is Tuesday AM!). 2) Then my doctor moves up my OR time to 8 from 10 AM -- now I have to be at the hospital by 6 AM -- unfortunately, I have no one set to take care of my children that morning, since we figured my husband would drop them off at school and then take me to the hospital. 3) my step-mother who has been promising to be down here for two weeks to help with the kids and me just called TODAY and left a message that it doesn't look like her schedule will allow her to come afterall (less than 24 hours pre-op just doesn't give enough time for a plan B). 4) tried my neighbors for plan B, but found out the she has her hands full as her husband had a seizure yesterday on the golf course after work and is in the hospital. 5) tried another neighbor and she was ready/willing/able to help --- until her two small boys started with a stomache virus last night and are still going strong today.

UUGGGHHH! I am doing my surgery prep (the wonderful "cleansing"), trying to tie up some loose ends from work, and now trying to find some help for at least the next 72 hours. At this point, it seems like I will be driving myself to the hospital tomorrow at 6 AM while my husband is at home with our twins. Then he will come be with me during the day while they are at preschool. Then he will have to leave to be with them. I guess I will call him when I am d/c'd this weekend and we will figure it out from there. I am so overwhelmed. I had finally gotten myself to a place where I was looking forward to this surgery, now I just want to call it all off and just deal with the pain.

Sorry for the ranting pity-party -- feels good to vent.

I am sorry to hear things are trying to fall around your ankles. Don't lost heart. Everything will work out somehow, even if it is not how we originally plan them.

Hang in there sweetie and I will be praying for you.
