memorable moments our children give us

Thought it would be nice to post some things about our children like some of the funny things they have done.

My DS (when he was 2) we had just moved into a new home.
He looked at at the ceiling fan and with a big smile on his face said helicopter. He thought that the fan was a helicopter.
One of many moments that I will always remember.

Well sisters what are some of you stories.

I remember taking my first dear son to the zoo (a big zoo in Toronto) when he was about 3, and the thing he told my Mom and Dad about after our visit, was the robin he saw at the zoo.

He did a similar thing when he was about 8. We went for a nice family vacation to Cape Cod and to Boston. We saw all kinds of things, and had a lovely time. The first thing he had to tell my parents about, was a large bowel movement that he had seen while exiting the elevator of the parking lot at the Boston aquarium.

He does like to joke, so maybe those were just early indications of his personality. Still, kids are very funny.

When my son was about four we went to visit my mom and dad one evening kind of late. My dad was up watching tv in his boxers and no shirt... Since my dad is older his ummm chest kind of sags and one of his "tittys" Lol was kind of folded under where you couldnt see the nipple. Spencer (my son) stared and stared at my dad and finally he looked up and me and said "Momma Paw Paw gots a broken titty" I almost lost it laughing.. He is almost eight and it is still a joke in our family that paw paw has a broken one.. LOL

Today my 11 yr DS got his first support cup for base ball. he was so proud of himself. He ran in his room and put it on. He wouldn't come out for a long time. I asked him if everthing was OK? He said "MOM, This one is broken!" I walked in on him and he was standing there embaressed. The cup was upside down. I said I could fix that. He Said "NO mom, I mean where's the rest of this thing." He didn't know the have no rear end in them!

Missing Kitty

Yesterday I noticed my kitty Nikki wasn't following me around... Normally I am tripping over her everytime I take a step... Well, I look around the house and on the porch still no Nikki. But in the kitchen I can hear a faint Meow I look in all the cupboards, under the table, on top of the cabinets, in the pantry no Nikki,,, Well, I open the fridge and in the vegtable drawer was my poor Nikki...

My four year old evidentlly stuffed her in the drawer and shut the fridge... Needless to say he spent some time (alot) in his room... I couldn't let him see me laugh...

He usually pulls the cats tail and one day my dh said T quit pulling her tail and my four year old looks at him plainly and says "then why does she have a tail?" He is a lil stinker, We always say if we had had him first we would have never had anymore... HA HA

Love Ya

I only have "4-legged children" (cats) but I have nephews and nieces.

Kate, my three year old niece, is just adorable. She's got big green-blue eyes, curly blond hair and lips that are full and so red that she looks like she just bit into a strawberry. For her entire little lifetime, I've called her "my princess". The other day, while visiting with her, I mentioned how happy I was she was my little princess (did I mention she's Type-A, just like me?!). Very seriously she said "I don't wanna be a pWincess anymore". Feigning shock, I said "No?" and she says "Nuh uh" So I say "Well, what do you want to be?" and she looks at me with just a hint of sparkle in her eyes and says firmly "A queen!" Needless to say, I had to burst her bubble by telling her that job was already taken by me and that I hadn't abdicated yet, so she'd just have to wait til I decided to pass the title down to her. Her response? A giggle that made me smile for an hour afterwards.

One day while I was watching Tv my son then a toddler was playing with some toys on the floor. our dog ( doberman/mix) got up and started to stretch..she put her front feet way out in front her butt up in the air..her tail was curled up tight to her back she was really enjoying her stretch until..Nick jumped up and poked her square in the bum with one little finger...that poor dog jumped and turned around sooo fast..and there's Nick doubled up laughing ..
I knew then I had a practical joker on my hands..he hasn't disappointed me I have thousands of Nickisums now and he is only turning 7.

Ok I have one. Today Derek, my DS who is 5 1/2 years old turned around yesterday while we were on our way home from the recycling center and asked what that big building was up on the hill in front of us. I turned around and told him that is a hospital for old people, which seemed to satisfy his curiosity. (We have to pay to have our trash picked up and are required to bring our own recycling to the town landfill area ourselves.) At least that is what I thought until today when my DH was watching the New York Yankees game on T.V. and Derek turned around and said "ya know Dad, there is a hospital for old people, you should go there sometime." DH rolled his eyes and said "Gee thanks alot" while I burst out laughing. Poor Derek then ran outside like nothing happened. I on the other hand have been making digs at my DH since and have gotten the 3 older kids to do the same. LOL

MY son was 3 years old. His Daddy and I could not find the car keys....we searched high and low for them. Finally, Jason, came to me and said "here, Mommy"---he had picked up the car keys and put them in his Daddy's cowboy boot in the closet....
