is this forever?

Am 2 months post TVH,kept my ovaries.

I know my ovaries are working as I have a sex drive and I am not having hot flushes or any of those symptoms. What concerns me is the lack of moisture during sex. This was never a problem pre op,and I dont think it is down to nerves or not being relaxed.

Using lubrication is not the end of the world,I know, but I wondered whether this is how it is going to be from now on,or whether the situation will improve in time.

I have decided there are two things I am investing in when my financial stock advisor see's me next month...

Depends and KY Jelly.

You may still need some vaginal estrogen cream, or to use a lubricant (BTW, KY jelly isn't "slippery" enough to be a good lubricant for many of us; but Astroglide is and it's in most chain drugstores now ).

The cervix does have some lubricating glands that obviously will be gone after your TVH. You may want to investigate the use of some vaginal estrogen, even if it's just for a little while. That has helped me quite a bit.

Granted, things in there are a bit "tight" in those first few weeks/months, particularly when it's been a vaginal hyst -- the swelling still may not be all the way down -- but patience, practice, and some TLC of the vaginal area (and Astroglide or other lubricant) should help a LOT!
