still getting ovarian cysts???

I am one year post-op and mostly have been feeling great . I had a TAH (kept ovaries) in May 03 I had a cyst removed off my right ovary and in November I felt a sharp pain in my side. I went to the gyno and the ultrasound showed another cyst he said watch it for a couple of months and when I went back in January it was gone. I had my annual check-up in April and he said everything was great , he felt no cysts or anything. Now this month I am getting those same feelings in my pelvic area not real bad pain just dull aches and kind of pulling I know he said if I am prone to cysts I will probably still keep forming them and maybe I should try birth control pills, but I have heard they don;t always work I don't want to keep going back for ultrasounds , but I am also getting tired of this pain I am also wondering if it could be scar tissue (feeling kind of close to incision site) Has anyone else had this problem and is there anything else to take to help with cysts. I am sorry this was so long!! Thank you.

still getting ovarian cysts???

Oh ((((Taz)))) I'm so sorry you're having these recurring problems

While I do not have personal experience with ovarian cysts, I know that several of our Road Dwellers have been dealing with such issues. Hopefully, they'll be around soon to share their insight.

In the meantime, you may want to drop by our "Resources Database" https://www.hystersisters.com/vb2/link.php?s= where you'll find lots of links to helpful web sites. At the bottom of the page, you'll see a text box where you can enter search terms. Just enter "cysts" and go ahead and perform the search

Scar tissues, or adhesions, again, while I do not have personal experience with that problem, too many of our Road Dwellers are dealing with that monster. Here's a link to the "Resources Database" where you'll find Ahesion Resources: https://www.hystersisters.com/vb2/lin...n=browse&cid=5

Wishing you the best of luck and sending healing s your way. Please keep us posted.

still getting ovarian cysts???

Hi, no answer to your problems, but similar circumstances.
I was in constant pain for 4 months following my hyst, then on and off for a further 4 weeks. Last week I was in agony, mostly right side and saw gynae. He has booked me for laparoscopy to see whats going on. A scan showed no 'large cysts', but some small ones. I have a history of cysts, but they have always dispersed before any surgery necess.
This week I have been relatively pain free, but wonder if the pain will return on my 'cycle'. This makes the decision of whether to go ahead with surgery or not, difficult.

He said he may remove ovary if it looks suspect.
Best wishes.
