Ibuprofin pre-surgery

I have a splitting sinus headache and I am scared to take my Tylenol Sinus due to the fact that I am having surgery Tuesday. Any words of advice?

I've already done accupressure and hot bath. Still hurting.

I'm not really a coffee drinker. (My hubby stands guard over the pot!) Will it help? I can always fight him for it!

I am taking the generic Tylenol Sinus.

Sometimes a strong cup of coffee helps with a headache...no matter what kind of headache. Beat DH off the coffee pot! *punch* Just kidding!!! LOL

Does your hospital have a hotline where you can call and speak to a nurse? You can try that. If nothing else you can call the emergency room and speak with a nurse. & All night pharmacies that has a pharmacist on duty may could help you.

I would think tylenol sinus would be ok.....not ibuprofen, not aspirin. Don't quote me on it though. I hope I don't get into TROUBLE for saying that!

motrin = ibuprofen...IS some what of a blood thinner

aspirin = acetylsalisylic acid (sp?) IS a blood thinner!!!!!

tyelnol = acetaminophen - not a blood thinner

Maybe DH can give you a face & head massage. Yes....lol....a face massage. My DS will do that for me sometimes when I get headaches. It is soooooo relaxing! He is such a sweet boy.

Hope you get relief soon!!!!!

You know how hard it is to think with a headache sometimes? Great idea on calling the nurse hotline. I'll do that. I have been in so much pain I haven't been thinking straight!

Thanks again.

Not to mention Aunt Flo is visiting again - 2nd time in 13 days. Come on Tuesday!

Sometimes I found it helpful to put a warm wash cloth across my face to open up the sinuses and relieve headache pressure.

And here's a prayer that it's not an oncoming sinus infection - that would be the pits! Quick, check your temperature! And remember, you don't want to have anything to drink for about 20-30 minutes before you put in the thermometer, that can give you a false reading.
