2 years post-op....scar tissue on vaginal cuff?

I'm well over two years post op. I had a pap and exam done this week for the first time since my post-op visits and my doctor found something that she *thought* was scar tissue. She did scrape on it to get a tissue sample (OUCH!). Now that I think about it I've had some occasional light spotting after intercourse a couple times in the past....could this be related to scar tissue? And if it's not scar tissue what else can it be?

Hi Shelli I'm so sorry you're dealing with this problem, so long after your hyst

Pain and bleeding and spotting are all symptoms that can lead to a diagnosis of scar tissues, therefore the symptoms you've been having very well might be caused by such a problem.

Of course, the person most likely to provide an anwer on this would be your doctor, who knows you best.

Sending tons of healing s your way. Please be sure to keep us posted.

Another thought might be the return of endo. I had something similar 1 1/2 years post-op from a TAH/LSO and my gyn suggested that was what it was. I just had my second Lupron shot yesterday and have noticed a big inprovement. It has made me decide that I would most definitely be better off without my remaining ovary.

Like (((Dany))) said, your doctor is the best person to give you answers and recommendations on this. Good luck and let us know how things turn out!
