Information on Endometrial, Uterine Sarcomas, Vaginal And Vulvar Cancers

I've done something more shallow earlier but now here's my plan for August: I am going to take in person a packet of information on gynecologic cancers to the two daily newspapers and the popular weekly paper. Therre will be a cover letter explaining Sept. GYN Cancer Awareness month and information attached. I am hoping at least one will do a feature.

Now I've got a line on cervical materials and have plenty of ovarian material. I've also asked the Gynecologic Cancer Foundation for more copies of its 2003 State of the State of Gynecologic Cancers to be in the packet.

For those of you who have Endometrial uterine cancer, Uterine Sarcoma, Vaginal and Vulvar cancers--what is the ONE BEST SITE for information on your particular cancer. I would print off the information and include it in the packet. I figure you're the experts on the best sites.

Who knows--maybe I'll be ignored--maybe I'll score in all three papers--but I'm going to give it a try in otherwise silent Madison, WI.

There is not much out there for vaginal cancer, but I found the ACS site to be the best and it has been updated since I was diagnosed. Two years ago it said chemo was not effective for vaginal cancer, but now under " Whats new in vaginal cancer" section it says it is along with other treatments that were not there two years ago. I look at lots of sites, but that is the one I return too.
I am really inspired by all you are doing Ellen

Uterine Sarcoma

Margaret I think you are doing a wonderful thing. I have PE coma and this is a wonderful web site. It has not just the sarcoma I have but many others also.

As you know there is little to no funding for sarcomas . It's because It's a rare cancer. There are only 13 people documented with PE coma . Two days ago I made number 14. Good luck! Please let me know if they publish anything on Sarcoma.

Great idea, Margaret! Since you've got cervix stuff I've nothing to add, but good luck!

Watch out Wisconsin, Ellen is on a mission!

I took a look at some of the major sites that have information on endometrial cancer and I too think that the ACS information appears to be the best currently available information that is geared to the general public.

Good luck and many thanks for your continued efforts!

I think what you're doing is a wonderful idea. If these newspapers do not print this info, shame on them.

Good luck, and keep up the good work.
