Hi Beautybunny,
If you're having general anesthesia, you will be asleep during the surgery.
Have you talked to your doctor about what type of surgery you are having and anesthesia and everything? I notice that your profile says you aren't sure of the surgery type, then in another thread you mentioned laser surgery, which I've never really heard of with this surgery. Just wondering if it's a new procedure.
If you haven't had your pre-op appointment yet or even if you have, please be sure to call or go in and talk to your doctor to be sure that all of your questions about what's going to happen are answered. There's a list of questions at this link which can help: https://www.hystersisters.com/vb2/hsa...hp?s=&id=96847
 s,
Lisa

Hi beautybunny,
I'm a little confused - are you having a hysterectomy or endometrial ablation? A hysterectomy is the surgical removal of the entire uterus; endometrial ablation is cauterizing the lining if the uterus.
endometrial microwaveable ablasion
If you are having endometrial ablation rather than a hyst, the Options and Alternatives forum is the best place for you to ask your questions and get relevant pre and post op advice.
Thanks!
