Pulling pain @ navel

I am scheduled for surgery to remove my remaining right ovary on July 6. Now, I am experiencing pulling pain at my belly button. Could this be adhesions? I also have overall pain especially when walking. Anybody experience these? I recall having the same pulling pain prior to my hysterectomy and thought it was because my uterus was prolapsed and pulled down everything. Please help me so understand what pain this is. Jill

adhesions are possible but its somethign that only a Dr can verify . I remember before my hysterectomy I had pain in my feet for months .

After the OP I woke in a haze and realised that the pain in my feet was done . my GP thinks that some trapped nerves may have been freed in the process of the surgery . I hope you feel better soon

Jilly,
Be sure and tell the doctor about this new pain you are experiencing. It is hard to say what is causing the pain, I have often heard of something called referred pain. That is you may feel the pain in one area but it is actually occurring somewhere else. I've been thru alot in the 5 years since my hyst, and I do believe that I have experienced this.

Is the doc doing your surgery in July via lap or will it be abdominal? Either way, he should probably be able to have a look around and see if anything new has developed.

Thank you. It is supposed to be done lap, but when he gets a look with the camera, it will then be decided whether to go abdominally. So, I'm not sure. I had this same exact pain prior to the hyst. but he couldn't tell me what may have caused it. I do have radiating pain all over the pelvic area on occasion, but the most is pinpointed at my right ovary. I just want this all to be over with and hope I won't have to worry about pain anymore.
