Pulled muscle

Hello Everyone,

First I'd like to thank the sponsor of this site. It is a true gift to those of us who have had this surgery and need to find out how others have coped. Again, thank you so much.

Now I have a question. I haven't really done anything strenuous that I can think of, I do walk quite a bit at least once a day but not to the point of being uncomfortable. I am 3 weeks post op today and the last couple of days I feel a pressure below my incision on the left side, which incidently is where most of the heavy surgery was performed. This pressure is not consistent but can be more noticeable upon standing after sitting for a period of time. I am not in any pain so to speak and am moving around pretty decently. I did call the Dr. and spoke to the nurse who seemed to think that this is just a healing process.

Has anyone felt anything similar? I have felt so good up to this point that this is really bothering me. I look forward to hearing your replies.

Take care all and happy recovery!

Kathi

Hi Kathi!

I'm glad you already called and spoke to the nurse at your doctor's office. That's always a good idea!

Those do sound like typical healing pains. I had them too. Walking is still good at this point of recovery. You still need to rest often and don't push getting back into doing chores or routines you had been doing prior to surgery. It's amazing how something as simple as doing a load of laundry can take a toll on us!

Take it easy and enjoy the slower pace while you can!

Kathi,

I too, have the same pain on the bottom left under my inscision. Don't worry! That's one thing you can do during this recovery process a lot is worry... because there is something new going on inside almost every day!

Hugs,
Ellen

Good Morning,

Thank you so much for your replies. I feel much calmer about this. I was beginning to feel guilty for walking and trying to figure out what I had done wrong to set me back!

I hope you have a great day and continue to have a healthy recovery and Ellen, you are absolutely right about feeling something different every day. What an experience this has been, mostly positive thusfar!!

Take care,

Kathi
