no help for me?

Hi everyone!
I am new in here,but hopefully someone can give me some advise.
4 years ago I had a conebiopsy, since I have not have my period, so Dr. put me on Hrt /Fem-Hrt/. NOw I an 48.
Have not have any problem, only I want to stop taking Syntetic hormones,because I read so many bad things about it. So I stoped it. Bought a natural hormone rep. in the drug store. After 4 days I had so bad lower abdominal pain, and I start taking it again. /Since than I was able to get bioindentical one,no problem./
By the time I was able to see my DR. ,and have US. the pain was gone. /3 weeks/
US showed blood in my uterus, and than everyone start panickin.
See Obgn immediatly, more US,ect.Dr. ordered D&C right away.In the hospital, when I woke up I found out she could not do the D&C, because I have cervical stenosis, /scarring from the conebiopsy/ no entrance in the uteus. Now Dr. wants to have hysterectomy, because they can do Pap smear to find out if I have hyperplasia/ or cancer/.
Is there anyone who has a same problem???????
I am so terrified, and I just do not belive to have hyster, when I dont have any Pain, or bleeding.

Sorry you are going through all of this right now. This must all be quite a shock. I can't answer many questions except to let you know that I also had stenosis after I had surgery to remove my cervix. My doctor ended up performing a surgery that basically opened the hole to the uterus back up. It wasn't too bad. The worry was that it would close up again, but it didn't.

Either way, you will have to make the decision that is best for you and that you feel comfortable with. .I wish you the best of luck on your journey.

They can open a cervical stenosis... if they want to. Small surgical procedure in itself, they just cut away the scar tissue and open it. Not sure how long it will stay open, though... they might want to keep a catheter in the opening for a few days to make sure it doesn't heal shut again, or they might have to open it again. I'm surprised they didn't open it while you were under for the D&C.

Thanks a lot, at least I have some hope, but I don't trust doctors anymore.
I have a feeling Dr. wants to do hyster, just because am 48.

All doctors aren't bad... in fact, most of them aren't. Sometimes they just have their own agendas. If you dont' want a hyster, just tell them it's not an option for now, not until they try to open your cervix. If they refuse, get a second opinion!

I agree if you dont want a hyst right now and your doctor doesn't feel that he can do anything for you as far as fixing the stenosis then you need to check with another gyn.
