Complex Cyst

Hello everyone. I am 48 and 9 weeks post op from TAH. Hysterectomy because of endometrial cancer in stage 1. Thank God, it was contained. I was just told last week through my mammogram, that I have a complex cyst. I have had a simple cyst for several years that my doctor was watching. Now they call it a complex cyst. I do not have any family history of breast cancer but I am scared. I ask that you please PRAY for me, as I will do the same for you. I am thankful for this site; I have learned that I am not alone. Thank you, take care, and may God bless you all.

Janet

Complex Cyst

I know we can all identify with being scared. Why... I was just in that frame of mind the other day. It sounds like your doctor is keeping close watch on you. Of course, you're in my prayers. We're walking this walk with you, Janet.

Complex cyst

Hi, Janet...

I too, have been told that I have a "complex cyst" on my ovary. I'm having a repeat ultrasound the day after tomorrow to see if there have been any changes, I'm guessing in size, vascular structure, etc.. I expect that it will be removed when I have my hysterectomy on the 23rd of next month. Besides checking on this complex cyst, I am having a consult with a GI doc because of an "abnormality" detected rectally during my (very thorough) pre-op for cervical conization and D&C (cervical cancer in situ & CIN III). Anyway, my grandfather used to say, "If it's going to help to worry, you go right ahead." At times, I am very worried and at others I think about what my grand patriarch (that's really who he was, as well as being a surgeon) said and I feel a little more calm. I know that I can find a way to walk through whatever the next step is going to be. Lean on your supportive people and think positively! Scary as it is, you'll make it.
