Discolored leakage

Anyone notice a light pinkish/bwn color on their pads if they have urine leakage problems?

Sometimes when I change my pad I will notice this and it goes hand in hand with when I have to pee a lot, an ordor and when I feel lousy. It comes and goes. Anyone else like this?

Discolored leakage

Hi,

My first thought is UTI....just because you said it had an ordor...that is how I always knew I had a bladder infection.

You might want to get a specimen into the lab. Just to be safe.

Good luck,

Renee

I really never thought of a UTI as being the culprit but now that you mention it - the rest of the symptoms are there too.

Discolored leakage

Hi there,

I agree, leakage, odor, discolouration etc, the first thought would be a UTI, hopefully you can get a sample to your Dr soon and will soon get relief!

Best wishes to you!

Discolored leakage

Wow I thought I was the only one that got this and I actually forgot to mention it to the new urologist.....it varies from day to day but some days I could swear there is blood on my pad....and other days it's a brownish color....and I"ve been tested and have no UTI.....so I"d be very interested to know if this is my IC and there is blood in my urine or what......I told my old uro and all she said was "well you haven't been diagnosed with hematuria so I don't know why you'd have that" and that was all she said?

Discolored leakage

When I go to the uro/gyno I will have to ask what this is all about. I have noticed....when this happens - I also go thru a flush period (face) and rash (under boobs) - I also can tell this is all gonna happen (not to be gross) but between my body and pee smell...its very weird. Say about every other month or so it happens. I don't get it but I am sure they would commit me if I mention it all.

i just read how some pain meds can produce the redish color urine or that it might not be a UTI but could just be irritation to bladder and all. So who knows.

Discolored leakage

it's bad when we're made to feel afraid to even mention it to the doc lest we be thought a nutcase....I know how you feel....I just wonder if it has anything to do with my IC...or the fact I still feel like I ovulate, maybe it happens then......??

I'd been having these awful headaches with bizarre symptoms like black dots in front of my eyes and weakness on my left side, additionally my BP was 165/110.....for ages I was telling my doc about this.....finally last week he put me on a BP med and I feel much better and it's down to 135/87......thing is my Mum just sent me this article out of a health magazine saying that my symptoms (dead on) are signs of a TIA or a "mini-stroke" and it could mean I'm going to have a real on.........there were like 4 woman my age that had the exact same thing happen to them and I'm afraid to bring it up to my doc cause I can just see him yawn and say "so your Mum sent you this eh?"......

I'd like to hear from anyone who is having this colored discharge on their pad with urine leaking I think there must be something to it and we shouldn't feel afraid to ask!

Discolored leakage

Gidge, I don't think the discoloration has to do with the headaches and the BP. That might be something seperate. You definetly need to get your BP checked and rechecked and taken care of. I take meds but my BP is really good now. BUT on and off I get horrible headaches. I think maybe that could be related to the discharge. I also get this god-awful rash and know I am gonna get it because I can smell this light odor I give off. So there is something there going on. But what - I don't know.

As for the BP and your headaches and spots - those could be related or you could be having migraines. Have you gone to the eye dr and told him? He/she might be more knowledgable or sympathetic.

Discolored leakage

yeah I did the whole round of eye dr's and visual field tests and they decided that I was having optical migraines......but the problem persisted and my BP just kept going up....to confuse matters my Mum has MS so that's a concern plus she and my sister both have glaucoma.......strangely since starting the BP med a week ago the headaches are almost nonexistant and the pain behind my right eye is almost completely gone as is the funny spots.......and my BP was 125/89 last night......hasnt' been there for a long long time.......now if I can just find an ACE Inhibitor that doesn't make my feet swell (that's the only side effect I'm getting at this point, I was having some flushing and chest heaviness but that's passed) my pharamacist tells me there are alot of different brands for me to try and that it's likely brand specific??

as far as what's on my pad, I could swear it's blood.....and there are times that my bladder and urethra hurt bad enough that I expect there to be blood when I wipe....but there is none that I can see.....makes me wonder, prehyst......alot of that pain must've been my IC and I thought it was my period.....or maybe my period made the IC worse.....never got diagnosed until after the hyst of course!
