Desperate for help!!!!

I really need some help here. I had a TAH 6 weeks ago. My next appt. is Wed. for the internal exam etc. I decided to see what was going on in my vagina and was scared to find a lumpy tissue thingie inside. I have had no problems but am now terrified. I called my gyn and he said not to worry and that he'll see me on Wed. I AM IN A PANIC!!!!!!! What the heck is this? Does anyone know? Please help!

Desperate for help!!!!

Hi Shannon, I wouldn't be too concerned until the doctor sees what it is you've found. It just might be swelling with stitches that haven't disolved. If you aren't having any problems, I'd go to my appointment and ask about it then and let the doctor check it out.
Take care!

I had the same issue. It takes time for the "space" that was pulled together to recess if you know what I mean. I had a protrusion and feeling like stitches were still there. Its fine getting better. That is normal.

That's why I refused to try to feel WHAT was up there.. It would have grossed me out, AND I am a nurse.. I just left that part up to the Dr. and tried not to worry.. The Dr. knows what looks normal and what doesnt... I am sure in the first weeks, we don't look or FEEL the same as before our surgeries,,, Healing, stitches,, etc.... Kathie

Oh goodie...something new to worry about...
Eeew!
I was just contented and trusting my Dr. until I read this thread.
Ugh!

I am NOT going to inspect my vagina...
Can't you introduce germs/bacteria that way?
I'll just wait and let the nice DR. give me an update on a future appt.

I sure hope that everyone heals up O.K.
