Posterior colporraphy and entercelectomy - What can I expect?

WOW....not really sure how I feel about being here. Gateful for not being alone yet I am so sorry that others are going through these things too. It has been a 12 year battle to get the female stuff taken care of and here I go yet another surgery. I joinned this site because I wanted to know what to expect for my recovery.... My next surgery on the docket is a Posterior colporraphy and entercelectomy.... I am 40 and divorced and I need to know what kind of help I need to arrange for myself when I get home. I sell car part to garages and dealerships so I know pretty much only men. Though supportive they are not like a signifacant other. I have offers of help but they need to know a head of time what to expect. I would like to know about diet and physical limitations. I have 3 dogs who depend on me.

I just don't get why they can't just get everything done and leave me alone. My surgery is scheduled for July 16th and I am already sceduled to see the urologist in Sept to see if this take the pressure off the endoscopic suspension stitch... so I will either have to have more steriod injections in the vaginal vault or I get to try getting bladder to behave yet again. My abdonimal muscles have aleary have the suspensions stitches tear though twice.

I think my biggest fear is what happenes if the rectocele tears into the vaginia and what do they do to fix that??

Oh ((((Belle)))) I'm so sorry you've been having such a hard time of it since your hyst I am happy that you found us, because Hyster Sisters is an absolutely awesome site ... I only wish it wasn't because you're facing yet another surgery

I had a rectocele repaired at the same time as my hyst and haven't had any further prolapse or problems... but I know that my problems weren't quite the same as yours. Hopefully, someone will come around with some insight on the surgery you're having.

I did want to send some s your way and to wish you the best of luck with your upcoming surgery.
