uterus size and fibroid size

Hi!
got my pathology report today at my 6wk checkup. I have searched all over internet trying to figure this out.
Does anyone know what a fibroid the size of 4.2 cm is comparable to? (baseball?)
and how big is a uterus that was 10.2 x 7.5 x 4.7 cm? I know they measure them in pregnancy sizes and was just curious how big mine was in comparision? 15 weeks maybe?
Thanks!
Lisa

uterus size and fibroid size

Hi, LisaB!

4.2 cm converts to 1.65 inches, which is the size of a golf ball(?).
Anyway, convert centimeters to inches by dividing by 2.54.

There was a post out there about a week ago that had the size of the uterus versus the pregnancy size and weight. I wrote it down because I thought it was interesting. Here it is:

6 cm = 8 weeks = 125-150g
8 cm = 12 weeks = 280 - 320g
18 cm = 24 weeks = 580-620g

I get my pathology report on Wednesday, so I'll be comparing my numbers.

I hope this helped.

www.sciencemadesimple.net has conversion charts. It says that 4.2 cm is about 1 2/3 inches - so more like a superball or giant jawbreaker than a baseball.

I'm sure someone else will be along that has handy access to the uterine size/weeks chart. If I remember right, mine was approximately 14 weeks' size, and your dimensions seem pretty similar to what mine were.

Isn't it the most curious thing - all we want is the darned thing OUT... then we want to know all the details!
