Ovarian Cysts

Hello,
This is my first posting. I had a PAH in October. Since then I have been riding an emotional roller coaster. I did not want to have it, but I know it was the right thing to do. I went to the Doc last week for my yearly exam and he found a large cyst on my left ovary. The sonogram shows that both ovaries have cyst. The right one appears normal, the left one is a concern. So it was back to surgery for me. We set the date for July 6. On the 2nd I recieved a call, my Doc was in an accident and cannot perform surgery for several weeks. I really don't want someone else performing the surgery, but postponing it means that I will miss the first few weeks of school. I just feel so upset. I keep fighting to get my life back and it seems like more bad stuff just keeps on coming. I know my Doc does not think either of the cysts are cancerous, but I keep thinking what if they are? Anyways I just need to get that off my mind.
Thanks for letting my share.

Trans, The waiting is very hard, but don't let yourself think the worst, especially if your Dr doesn't feel it is cancer. Cysts are very very common and most are not cancer. I hope yoi have a surgery date soon and this will all be behind you

It is easy to understand why you are upset after thinking that the Oct. proceedure was final and then for this to happen to your DR prior to your next surgery.

Cysts aren't usually malignant (as was just stated) so if you want to wait for your own DR to recover from his accident, your problem for is probably just your peace of mind. Getting this done and out of thoughts may be best for you. Only you can decide.

For me, peace of mind is 90%. When I heard that I had ovarian &
uterin cysts, I couldn't wait to get rid of them and everything else I could get taken out. I had a TAH with a good path report as was expected.

I wish you luck, good health and peace of mind.

Thanks for your replies and words of encouragement. Everybody I know thinks it would be great to have a hysterectomy, they don't really understand how I feel emotionally.
