Shaving!

My post op appt is tomorrow morning and I hadn't shaved my legs in 2wks! I did it! I felt a little dizzy at one point, bending over and all, then I dropped the shaving cream can, but it is done. Relief. Think I'll go lay down a while and rest. Any of you know that feeling?! Hope all of you have a great day. Let's all take care of ourselves.

Shaving!

Shelby
I know the feeling! At 2 weeks post-op I had more hair on my legs than dh (he's not a hairy guy obviously). It was driving me nuts!

Luckily I have an electric shaver that I can use either in the shower, or just dry. I had to sit down to do it, and put my foot up on a stool. But in about half and hour....it was done. Only later that day did I notice I had missed some spots!

Shaving!

I have to give my DD props...He shaved my legs for me in the shower until I felt like I could do it myself...he even shaved them in the hospital!

It is a major peeve for me to be hairy. He said that it made me peaceful if I got a shower, shaved, and got pretty.

WHat a MAN!!!

Shaving!

I shaved for the first time Sunday before church and my surgery was the 22nd... it wore me out being bent over like that!!!!! I'm not in a hurry to do it again! I didn't want to look like bigfoot on my first trip back to church... which also hurt.

((hugs))

Shaving!

I'm 3 wks and 1 day and still haven't shaved my legs - just my underarms. Luckily, my hair doesn't grow very fast (except on my toes - yuck) and my post-op isn't for another 3 weeks. Will have to get a sharp razor

Shaving!

Have any of you noticed a change in things like how your hair grows or your skin. I had PCOS, and now I am experiencing changes in both. My legs don't have to be shaved as often, and my skin is drying out. ( I am very happy about both). I used to shave every day bc I had to, and always had very oily skin.

Shaving!

No changes I can notice right now in hair growth but I've heard some women do have a problem. Who knows! At this point I'm thinking anything could happen! I'm going to say it will be a good year before I'm actually feeling all the way normal. That way if it's sooner, I'll be thrilled and if it's a year, that's OK. I sure appreciate reading all your replies. Kind of fun! I figure we all need a few laughs along the way to recovery. Take care everyone!

Shaving!

I Couldn't wait that long. I had dh bring me some of that shaveless cream at the hosp. Even that took a lot out of me. Now I use my razor but I sit in the tub to due. I still have trouble standing up to do it yet. Ahh some day I'll be normal again Karri
