HRT - Patch

Hi

I just had my pre-op yesterday and feeling a little more calm which is odd because I have been VERY nervous prior to that. I was told I would be given a patch for HRT immediately after surgery. I would appriecate any thoughts and comments on the Patch.

Thanks

HRT - Patch

I was put on the Climara 0.1 patch the day after my TAH/BSO. I love it! I haven't had any menopausal symptoms at all. I am 49 years old.

HRT - Patch

Hi April!
Your doctor sounds like mine! I had a TAH/BSO on the afternoon of June 4th. That night they put a Vivelle Dot (0.1mg) on me. I change it twice a week. I've done great! Occasionally I'll feel warm, but nothing major! I haven't had any mood swings, nor have I had any major crying spells! I was slightly emotional at the end of my first week post-op. I was sooo worried about being emotional and crying after the surgery, but I haven't been that way at all! Best of luck to you! I hope that you will get along as well as I have!

While I'm not sure which patch you will be put on it is almost normal these days. I was put on a Climara patch 24 hrs after my TAH/BSO and I have been very happy with the results as many of our sister's have been too.

s & ers for your coming coronation.

HRT - Patch

I started with menopausal symptoms about 2 weeks after my surgery. He put me on the Climara patch .06 mg and within 1-2 weeks my night sweats, chills and moodiness were gone. It's been great! Actually I'm a much nicer person than I was before the surgery! LOL

I'll be going for my 2 week post op tomorrow. Will be discussing the patch with my DD. I have a friend that highly recommends the patch.

Sunny days are just ahead!

HRT - Patch

I was put on Vivelle-dot 0.1 right after surgery. Have since had the dosage lowered to 0.05. I love it. No mood swings or PMS. DBF told his family that it was working great because I hadn't taken his head off since my hyster

I love it

I've had the Climara patch .5 since the third night. Started out in a pool of sweat the second night . Was put on the lowest dose and then moved to this one and I love it. Seems to really help with the mood swings.
