Latest test results! Yeah!!
Hi all!!
I wanted to let you know I just received my latest test results back after two weeks worth of treatment on the new chemo drug (topotecan). For those of you who hadn't read about my CA125 levels going right back up after completing the first round of chemo (carboplating/taxol) it was found that the type of cancer I have was unresponsive to the platinum base chemo.
Well, prior to the new series the CA125 had jumped back up to 180 but after the first weeks worth of treatment had gone down to 38. I just received the results after two weeks treatment and the level has again gone down, this time to "19" Yahoo!!!
I'm very cautiously optomistic about this drug. It seems to be responding much better. It is however making me quite a bit more nauseas than before but that's okay as long as it works!
Anyway, I wanted to share my good news, I've got my fingers crossed for continued good results. I also wanted to thank all of you for your good thoughts and prayers. It helps tremendously. You're all angels!
God bless,
Vicki
