Back from surgery!! Intial report severe endometrosis!!

Hello all,
I am so sorry Lori but she is going to beat OC I just know it.
Boy am I sore! The surgery was no fun and they released me the same day because I kept saying I wanted to go home (we live an hour away) when I was coming around. BIG MISTAKE! We got stuck in traffic for 2 hours and we had to stay in a hotel. The doctor says it was a severe case of endometrosis on the left side (all the pain was there). He cut addhesions and burned some off too. He also removed the right ovary and scar tissue. I guess I was a big mess when he went in with the scope. They did the biopsy then and he will get the final reports on monday. He says he has never seen them come back positive after they are tested at surgery. Boy but I am still scared. Why can't I relax??? He did not remove the uterus either so guess what... My period is here too!! He left the left ovary.
I wish he could've stopped it somehow. It's so hard to tell now with all the blood what is normal and what I should be alramed about. Keep praying for me sisters! But I am so glad to be home with my DH. He truly is a gift from god. From cleaning bed pans to cleaning litter boxes. I must've done something very right

Home too Soon?

I'd say. I'm very glad that initially this is endometriosis (not that that's good) and not ovarian cancer. Let's hope the final report comes back the same.

I am so happy to hear from you, and to know you made it through everything ok. I was praying for you and thinking of you as I went into a similar surgery on the same day. I hope your final diagnosis is endo and that the surgery helps with that. I am awaiting final pathology reports on my ascites and ovaries/uterus, but the doctor thinks all is ok.

Healing thoughts to you,
Kristi

Back from surgery!! Intial report severe endometrosis!!

Dear Kay:

I am thinking of you and please let us know your results. I am glad to hear you are home and recovering and it sounds like the doctor is not too alarmed and this is a good thing.

Any surgery takes a lot out of us so as the other ladies suggested, rest, rest, rest and it sounds like you have wonderful support and help.

Sending you lots of s

I am so happy for you that the initial report was endometrosis & I too wish that is what the final report says. Not that endometrosis is a picnic, but it isn't 'cancer'.

God Bless, and I will pray that they are able to treat this endometrosis with miminial side effects for you.

God Bless

No it really isn't any picnic and with one ovary and your uterus, you may still have pain...I pray you don't...but I do, after almost six months I cannot tell my pre -hyst endo pain apart from what I feel now....
