Sitting up for to long?

Okay I am 2 weeks PO today & last night I want to the bowling alley to watch my DH bowl (we are on a leage, NO I did not bowl, only watched) We were there about 3 hours & when I got home I though I was going to die. My back hurt so bad, So i thought I would go lay in bed with the heating pad on my back & when I laied flat on my back it was the most awful pain. I could not relax my stomach muscles. I felt like my incesion would rip open. So painful I was in tears. This morning my Tummy is a little better, my back still hurts a bit.

What could have caused that? This was my first outing too. Was it to soon? I am suppose to take my daughter to the movies on Sunday is that going to be to much as well?

Any advice will be helpful.

Sommer

Sitting up for to long?

Hi Sommer,

After this surgery, sitting should be limited to only short periods of time (15 to 20 minutes) for the first few weeks, as it puts a lot of pressure on your internal healing tissues and muscles.

Definitely take it easy and let someone else take your DD to the movie. You've got to let your body heal.

s,

Lisa

Sitting up for to long?

Even at five weeks if I sit scrunched up for more than half an hour I suffer for hours afterwards

The cinema might be too much for you at this early stage.

You might consider giving it a miss and recouperate!

Take care

I am one day ahead of you on dates- and i own my own medical transcription business- needless to say i am way behind...because i can't sit at my desk for more than an hour at a time...if i sit in my recliner i do better...

please don't over do it...stay home and get some rest....

Take care...and i hope you feel better soon...
