Well, my news wasn't too good either......

Well, the second biopsy came back vulvar carcinoma-in-situ as well, and it leaves me wondering how widespread this truly is. So, I'm off to laser surgery next week on Wednesday, and the gyn/onc is supposed to do a thorough colposcopy while there to look for any other areas of abnormality that can be treated while he's there. Hopefully, he won't find any.

I can honestly say that I'm not panicking, but I definitely feel like . I'm not happy about the surgery and certainly am not looking forward to another 2-3 weeks of perineal pain. I've only been healed from the last biopsy for a few days. It's just not fair! My whole summer spent dealing with this!

Oh, well.........I will continue to remind myself. At least it's not invasive.

Thanks for letting me .

Rats!

As Charlie Brown would say. I do hope that this is very localized and that the laser surgery can take care of it once and for all.

The reporter I e-mailed and said while she couldn't interview me--I told her we need awareness on these other cancers and included information on vulvar. I'd like to see an article--it could reach thousands of women.

I'm so sorry you have to have more biopsies. Hopefully your doctor can zap any nasty cells with his laser.
Hang in there. Rest, Heal, and then enjoy the rest of the summer cancer free.

Jeanine, sorry to hear about the results of your biopsy. I too was diagnosed with vulvar cancer in situ. I had the area excised and really found that the recovery wasn't bad. I just had a six month check up and all was clear. I wish the same for you. I know how upsetting this is. Let me know if I can help.

Go ahead and cry. You must be so disappointed. Give yourself a few days to grieve over this latest developement.
And then I am confident that you will be right back on track.
Doing exactly what needs to be done and living your life fully in the meantime.
And continuing to inspire all who post on CC.
