Abdominal bloating

Hi Ladies,

I am sure it's probably the heat, but I have noticed over the last week or so I have swelled up like a balloon - I look pregnant! I don't have another GYN appt. until August but am wondering how normal this is. Given the problems I have had since my hyst. I am mildly concerned. I feel deeply fatigued - but again, it could be the heat. Itching and craving chocolate too - but that could be hormonal. Egads.

My urologist doesn't think the pain I have been having when I urinate (in the urethra, vag. vault and stomach) is from bladder probs - with the exception of the urethra which is scarred. He plans on doing a gynecare TVT procedure for my bladder, but is a bit reluctant without being sure where the pain is coming from. Nothing abnormal showed on the CT. My CA-125 is 4.

My GYN seems to think it's a urology issue and vice versa with the urologist.

I think I am venting more than anything.

Jads, Digestive problems sometimes cause bloating for me, but if it keep up you should demand that your Dr's find the cause. It is good that the CT and blood tests are fine. Are you anemic? Make sure you are eating healthy.

Thankyou! Yes - I eat a healthy, high fiber organic diet. Lots of fruits and veggies.

My GYN put me on celebrex for the pain I have when I urinate - but it really doesn't help. Maybe that is contributing to the bloating/fatigue. She thought an anti-inflammatory may help.

I think it's frustrating more than anything because I was so healthy before my cancer diagnosis and TAH. I hate feeling so sickly...it's tiresome.

I don't think I am anemic. My BP has been a little high for me - but the GYN says pain will cause an elevation. If they could figure out why I have the pain and make it go away - that would surely help I am sure. It's only really there when I pee. :-)
